Yay! Your dog is heading to the Northeast on transport! What to expect….
DETAILS:
Your dog will be arriving in New England on a Saturday.
Additional pick-up locations may be available and should be discussed with your Adoption Coordinator.
You will receive an email from one of our transport coordinators the Thursday night prior to arrival.
If you have any questions or issues, please do not hesitate to contact your Adoption Coordinator.
It is VERY, VERY important that you read and understand the following instructions for picking up your dog from transport:
Required for Pickup: For the safety of every dog, adopters must bring a properly sized slip lead. Retractable leashes are not allowed. Please ensure the slip lead is adjusted snugly at the top of your dog’s neck, just behind the ears. This provides the most secure fit and greatly reduces the risk of a frightened dog slipping free during transport.
If you’re unsure which size slip lead to purchase, please ask your adoption coordinator before pickup. We are happy to recommend the correct size for your dog.
Small Dogs & Puppies: For their safety, small dogs and puppies should be carried to and from your vehicle whenever possible. They must also wear a properly fitted slip lead at all times in case they slip from your arms or become frightened. Puppies are not fully vaccinated, so please avoid allowing them to walk on the ground in public areas.
All our volunteers take pride in what they do and they would love to see their foster in their new home so please send pics or post on our Facebook page. We LOVE seeing them in their new homes!
On behalf of everyone at Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue:
THANK YOU FOR ADOPTING!
