Rowdy

Roady is a ‘life of the party,’ 1-year-old Border Collie Mix who would love a family to go on adventures and then hang out for movie time. He is a fun boy to take to farmer’s markets, breweries, and on family picnics. He is a smart, social guy who loves all humans and prefers to be with his people. Roady will make a great running, hiking, and exploring nature partner. He really enjoys activities like playing, wrestling, and fetch.

Roady is housetrained and crate trained. He is a dog-friendly boy who loves playing with other dogs and would be happiest in a home with another playful dog or with regular doggie playdates. He does best with dogs 20+ lbs and non-dominant male dogs. Roady is child friendly and has been around many children. He has good boundaries and loves kids. Due to his energy level, we are recommending kids 10 yrs and older.

Roady loves the car and likes to sit in the back looking out the window. He has learned ‘sit, shake, come’ and would love to learn more if taught.  He sleeps through the night on a dog bed in his foster’s room. Roady is still working on leash manners but does great off-leash at the park. He likes entertaining himself with chew toys and dog toys. We are looking for a home with a fully fenced yard and one where he won’t be left home alone for long hours. Roady would love a family willing to work with all of his smarts and abilities on training would be fantastic. There is so much to this smart athletic pup! Roady is 57 lbs. neutered, up to date on vaccines, including rabies, heartworm negative, and current on prevention.

Roady is currently being fostered in Texas, but he is available for adoption in both Texas and the northeast.
