Robbie was a stray in Mexico and came to us horribly matted (see last video). He undoubtedly lived a horrible life but is doing well in his foster home. He has come a long way, still a little vocal when he feels he needs to direct you towards his bidding. He is easily calmed and quieted down.
A gentle soul and always craving love, Robbie is perfectly happy getting gentle caresses on his face and will jump up into his foster’s lap for love.
This happy fella loves to play fetch and can play for a good length of time before wearing out.
Robbie enjoys the company of other dogs, cats are unknown. Robbie would do best in a home with a yard (no apartments) and with older children where someone is home most of the time. He currently wears a belly band (diaper) when indoors and has an occasional #2 accident. We can’t expect perfection from a dog that wasn’t raised indoors until rescued, we can only be honest and patient.
There is a loving, experienced and understanding family out there that will be perfect for him. He is best suited for a lap dog environment, mild to low activity where his person is available to him throughout the day and an established dog buddy awaits his friendship.
Robbie is available in Texas only.
