Remi – Short for Remington. A doll of a chocolate lab/Catahoula mix with so much personality and spunk. At only 8 months old, she is working hard on her behaviors and is full of energy.
Remi was rescued from a local family in Austin that was unaware of the boundless energy and goofiness that a baby lab/Catahoula dog has. This girl is cute, sweet and all puppy.
Remi knows “sit” and is working on her other skills with her foster in their home alongside 3 very well trained dogs. We have no doubt that she will learn fast!
She is extremely smart. She has already learned how to open the lever handle style doors. Her foster is working on teaching her to respect the closed door. She has mastered the command “place” which is needed because she is extremely food driven.
Remi is great on a leash and loves going on long, brisk walks in the morning. She has a great, calm demeanor the rest of the day when she is exercised and gets her energy out.
With patience, training and time, Remi will continue to make strides in learning good behavior and manners. An adopter willing to continue her training is a must.
Remi will do best in a home with a sizable yard for her to get her exercise and older children (ages 12 and up) who can help with her daily routine. She loves being around people and other dogs, and is good with cats.
Remi is located in Texas and is available for adoption in TX and the Northeast.
