Poppy is an 8-month-old terrier mix weighing 16 lbs. This lovely little lady loves to give hugs and play with her foster mom’s dogs. She appears happiest when she’s flying around the backyard, doing zoomies with her best buds, giving a stuffed toy a shake, or playing tug of war with her foster mom or another dog.
Poppy was previously adopted, but she was never accepted by their first dog, and she was getting picked on. It was decided that it was in everyone’s best interest if we tried again, and although she was very nervous at first, she has gained a ton of confidence and has been able to thrive here with her foster mom and her pack-she even gets along with the cats! She just wants to be loved and she loves her people hard, and will wrap her arms around you and give you the best dogs hugs and kisses.
Poppy really needs to live with a sweet, playful, snuggly doggy friend!
Poppy’s foster mom is working on familiarizing her with a crate, but she behaves and just sleeps on the couch or in a dog bed in the living room with the other dogs who are not crated at night. She is also potty trained. She is such a gorgeous little lady, who is ready to continue to blossom with a family of her own.
Poppy is currently being fostered in Texas but she is currently available for adoption in both Texas and the northeast.
