Pop Tart (TX only)

Pop Tart is an adorable, 6 month old chihuahua mix with about 100 pounds of personality in his little 10 pound body. With his gorgeous hazel eyes, sky high ears and pudgy little puppy legs (foster mom calls them ham hocks), you can’t help but fall in love with him.

Pop Tart’s love language is food, and this smarty pants pup quickly learned “sit” just by watching what his foster siblings did during treat time. He’s also the perfect combination of fun and relaxation. He loves toys, ZOOMing around the backyard, playing chase with his fur friends, and getting into playful wrestling matches with his foster siblings.

Once he’s had fun, he’s ready to settle in for belly rubs and a long nap. Pop isn’t a fan of being held, but he’s definitely affectionate once he gets to know and trust you. He LOVES to sleep snuggled up right next to you during naps and all through the night. His sweet good morning kisses are the best start to the day.

This precious pup is looking for a family with someone who’s home the majority of the time and has at least one other small, playful dog. He does require a secure, fenced in yard to keep him safe, as he’ll be considered a flight risk until he’s fully adjusted to his new home and views his people as his safe keepers. He would do well in a home with a low to medium noise/energy level, and we think he would do okay with older children (14 plus – younger children may be considered) who can fully understand and respect his needs and boundaries.
