Bramble is a 2-year-old shepherd mix, weighing 45 lbs. She just had major orthopedic surgery to repair a badly healed old injury from being hit by car. Bramble lived on the streets and we think she likely had to drag herself around, which caused that leg to heal all wrong. The surgery was done to proactively prevent some arthritis pain for her in the future.
This girl has already been through so much in her short life, and her foster mom wants to ensure she will always be protected and treasured as she should be. Bramble is currently in a foster home with cats. She would do okay with a cat who is used to dogs. She thinks it’s fun to chase them, but she is not aggressive with them. She does great with dogs of all ages and sizes but loves the male shepherd who lives in her foster mom’s house most of all.
This sweet girl deserves a family who will spoil her with love and attention. Her ideal home would have another dog to play with. Bramble is smart and playful. She walks well on a leash and she is both crate trained and potty trained.
Bramble is available for adoption in Texas only.
