Abu (TX only)

This gorgeous, silly boy is Abu. He is a 1.5 year-old chihuahua mix and looks like he may have some French Bulldog in him but who knows? He barely escaped euthanasia and was rescued and taken in by an Addicus foster. He is a happy boy who loves to trot around with his squeaky stuffies, play fetch, go for long walks, chew his bones, and cuddle up for naps.

Abu loves to run and play, and will get the zoomies when his foster mom returns home. He can take a little while to warm up, but once he does, he will become your buddy and will want to play. Abu really latches on to one person and becomes a velcro dog. He would do best with a single female. He is a smart boy who is learning basic commands like “sit.” He is currently working on “shake” and is very treat motivated.

Abu has free reign of the house and does well being left when his foster mom goes to work. He has not been crate trained and would prefer an adopter that will allow him to cuddle in bed. He is working on his potty training and is almost there! He is very gentle and has the softest mouth when playing. He will bark when someone comes to the door but otherwise, is very quiet in his home. If you are looking for a true velcro dog who will always want to be by your side, Abu is your guy!
