Opal is a 55 pound black mouth cur with majestic blue eyes. She spent the first part of her young life (2 years) outdoors and contracted heartworm. She raised a healthy litter of 12 while in foster care and all of her pups have been adopted, she is now spayed, her heartworm has been treated and she's been given a fresh start at what a good home really is by her wonderful foster and  is now ready for a forever home.

This girl loves people. She'll fall into you when you pet her and although on the shy side, she is as gentle as they come and calm and quiet in the home.

Opal is not overly fond of other dogs, possibly due to her previous situation and she is visibly fearful when a large dog crosses her path. We see her future home as an only dog with a family and  kids 10 years and older  who can teach her what true love really is and give her the time she needs to come out of her shy shell.

Opal is housebroken, crate trained and excellent on a leash. She loves to be by her person's side and will gladly take a seat beside you on your sofa.

Please consider Opal if you're looking to give a great dog, a good home.
