O’ Henry, or as he’s fondly referred to as Henry, is a fully vetted, heartworm negative, 65 pound, 1 ½ year old foxhound mix that was found as a stray in the Texas countryside with severe bite wounds all over his body. He was taken in by a good samaritan who then asked his Addicus foster to step in and work their magic. When he’s not playing with toys or with his dog friends, he loves to snuggle with his person - he thinks he’s a lap dog and we just don’t have the heart to tell him he’s not. This is a pup who also enjoys an outdoor life of sunshine and happiness. Henry would be a great pal to hike with once his leash training advances and he truly prefers the company of another dog in the home. An established alpha male or female is how Henry will learn to become his best self. Henry has been kind to the children he’s been introduced to and loves every human! We see him thriving with a younger family or single person who will give him the time and structure he needs to grow and mature.
Henry would love a backyard but it’s not required. He loves patios (both at home and restaurants) and long walks. He does well on car rides and has had quite the experiences with meeting new people while out and about. This boy has so much potential he’s almost bursting at the seams and given a chance, he promises to be your lifelong companion and example of pure joy.
