I’m Josie, the resident bug catcher, treat taster, stick collector, and fetcher extraordinaire. Foster mom said it’s time for me to pawperly introduce myself so that I can find my glove family. I thought she meant to say good instead of a glove, but a-paw-ently glove families are the kind that fits you best. Some people call me a black lab and shepherd mix, but mostly they just call me gorgeous and goofy. I guess those words mean the same thing. I’m about 2 years old, and I’m a smart, happy girl. I know soooo many things. In fact, my foster mom has been keeping a running list of all the things I’m learning (she REALLY likes lists)… Sit, Paw, Touch, LayDown, Go To Mat, Walk On Leash, Leave It - In Pawgress!

I didn’t know lists could run, but speaking of running, who else has running at the top of the list of their favorite things? I mean, I don’t know if I’m up for that marathon type of running some of you do, but I love me some good ol’ zooming around in the backyard. I’m fast like The Flash! Wanna know what else I love? Sticks! I like big sticks, little twig sticks, long and thin sticks, thicky thick sticks (said in my best Lizzo voice ). I especially like those sticks that have bonus sticks growing off them. Foster mom calls them branches. I find them all around when we go on our walks through the neighborhood. That’s also when I do my best bug catching. June bugs and rollie pollies beware!!

Now that I’ve told you about me, I hope you can help me find my perfect fit family. Maybe it’s YOU! Let’s see… Are you a fun loving family who’s looking for an active, playful, goofy girl who loves playing fetch and going on car rides? Will you give me belly rubs and snuggles? I’m not always on go mode, so I for sure want a fam who’s happy to let me relax and lounge around with them. Foster mom said a fully fenced yard is a must for me and to tell you that sometimes I get so excited that I turn into a big, jumpy, 65lb puppy. I’m working on learning other ways to express my joy, but until I get that down, I’d do best with kiddos old enough to handle my happy hops. I really enjoy playing with doggy friends that are social and confident. The ones who aren’t timid and will get along well with my playtime roughhousing antics.
