Gabriel is a GORGEOUS Black Lab who was rescued from a central Texas shelter. Gabriel was found clinging by the side of the road to his deceased mate, never leaving her side. Once in the shelter, he and his mate were left in a quiet room to together, to give Gabriel time to mourn his friend. After removing his deceased companion, poor Gabriel was left sad and heartbroken. Gabriels luck changed when he was pulled from the shelter by Addicus, and not a moment too soon either. Once in his foster home, Gabriel came down with pneumonia! Had he broken with sign just a few hours earlier, he would not have made it out of the shelter alive! Timing is everything! Since arriving into his new foster home, he has been recouperating from his illness but has been an excellent patient! He's well on his way to a full recovery. Gabriel is a young adult lab full of life! He does well with the other dogs in the foster home and really seems to like children. He's house trained and sleeps in a kennel at night, although he's not too big of a fan of that. He likes to chase a ball around in the backyard and carry his squeaky pink octopus around. He would do best in a home without really small kids because he's a kid at heart still and doesn't recognize how big and strong he is. He will make a loving and loyal companion to anyone that adopts him.
