Adopt a Rescue Dog in Vermont
Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue brings rescue dogs from Texas and Mexico to Southern Vermont, making it possible for adopters across the Green Mountain State to give a deserving dog a second chance. Vermont has a strong tradition of caring for animals in need, and we’re proud to serve the state with regular transport runs to the Brattleboro area. Every dog in our program lives with a foster family first — so by the time you meet them, you already know exactly who they are.
How Transport Works

About Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue
Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based nonprofit that saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Texas and Mexico. Every dog in our program lives in a loving foster home — not a kennel — while they wait for their forever family. Our fosters give us a real picture of each dog’s personality, energy level, and the home that will suit them best. We are based in Vernon, CT and coordinate transport runs to cities across the eastern United States and Texas.
