How Transport Works
We have an Austin-area hub where Texas adopters can meet dogs locally and take them home without waiting for a transport run. Adopters from across the Lone Star State are welcome — our volunteers work with you to find the most convenient arrangement. Once approved, pickup logistics are coordinated during the adoption intake process.

Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) that saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Texas and Mexico. Every dog in our program lives in a loving foster home — not a kennel — while they wait for their forever family. Our fosters give us a real picture of each dog’s personality, energy level, and the home that will suit them best. We coordinate transport runs to cities across the eastern United States and Texas.
