Adopt a Rescue Dog in Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania adopters have more options than nearly any other state — Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue runs transport to three locations across the Keystone State, making rescue dogs from Texas and Mexico accessible to adopters from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia and throughout the Pocono Mountains.
No matter where you live in Pennsylvania, there’s a transport stop within reach. Every dog in our program lives with a foster family while they wait — so you’re choosing a dog whose personality, quirks, and ideal home you already know.
How Transport Works
We run transport to three Pennsylvania locations: Greater Philadelphia (Eastern PA and the Delaware Valley), Greater Pittsburgh (Western PA), and Stroudsburg (Pocono Mountains region). Choose the transport stop closest to you. Exact pickup location and scheduling are coordinated during the adoption intake process. Contact us if you’re not sure which stop is the best fit for
About Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue
Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue is a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) that saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Texas and Mexico. Every dog in our program lives in a loving foster home — not a kennel — while they wait for their forever family. Our fosters give us a real picture of each dog’s personality, energy level, and the home that will suit them best. We coordinate transport runs to cities across the eastern United States and Texas.
