Patti has a quiet, thoughtful way of getting to know you. She can be reserved at first and prefers a little time to take in new people and surroundings, but give her that space and you’ll get to see the affectionate, happy girl underneath — including one of her wonderful smiles. Once she’s comfortable, Patti loves being included in everyday life with her people and canine friends.
At 1½ years old and about 50 pounds, Patti is calm, adaptable, and wonderfully easygoing. She enjoys regular activity and interaction but also knows how to settle into the rhythm of home life. Other dogs bring out a particularly confident, social side of Patti; she loves interacting with them and is looking for a home with a friendly resident dog to share her days. She also does well around cats and small animals.
Patti settles comfortably when her people need to head out, especially with another dog nearby, so she can fit nicely into a working household. Her best match will be someone who won’t rush those first introductions and understands that earning her trust is part of getting to know her. If you hope to adopt a rescue dog who may take a little time to choose you but becomes an affectionate, smiling member of the household once she does, Patti could be your girl.
Patti is available for adoption in Texas through WorkDog Rescue and Rehabilitation. Addicus’ Legacy Dog Rescue is helping Patti find her people by cross-posting her on behalf of WorkDog Rescue and Rehabilitation.

HOW TO APPLY
Please fill out an adoption application and be sure to completely fill in all fields, as our volunteer adoption coordinators will only follow up on completed applications.
Our coordinators will follow up on all the vet and personal references that you provide and then reach out to you to schedule an interview. It may take a few days as we are 100% volunteer based and our wonderful coordinators also have jobs and families. Please be patient and know that we will be in touch!
Our interviews are typically around 30 minutes in length. We will talk about your home, yard, current and past pets, kids, your schedule and what kind of dog you are looking for. If we feel the dog you applied for is not a good fit, we will suggest a different dog for you to consider.
